One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my life. Probaly on the top 5. We were in room 2803 ...but this felt more like a beachfront condo!!... read more It was massive -- 3 beds/2.5 baths. The location of Q1 is in close proximity to several shops, cafes, restaurants, tram lines....and only 5 minute walk to the beach. There is also a pool, spa and restaurant on site. Every day we enjoyed the gorgeous views of sunrise and sunset from our huge windows, that provided 180 views of the Gold Coast skyline and beach. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. I wish the bathrooms had electrical outlets, because it would have come in handy for getting ready, girls doing makeup , blowdry after etc. However in the grand scheme of things this was not a huge issue, but would be nice to have electrical outlets in bathroom . Our front desk service was great -- Isabella was very helpful in answering questions. Upon check out, Himalaya Sharma (GM) was extremely hospitable and friendly. The buffet breakfast at the SkyPoint Deck was about $42 AUS, and throughout our duration we only did it once. It had stunning views up there, and the buffet had your basic breakfast options -- but no omelette station. For breakfast you can also walk downstairs to the cafe around the corner (which is also adjacent to the SkyPoint Deck entrance). All in all, if I ever return to Gold Coast, the Q1 is my TOP PICK!!
